KnowledgeSmart Principal Administrators, Library Administrators and Users & Invites Administrators.
Common Causes/Issues:
You want to customize your Skills assessment invite email text, including the option to have more than one invite email template to choose from.
Solution Overview:
KnowledgeSmart administrators have a couple of options for adding custom copy to Skills assessment invite mails.
Option one
The default invite email text appears in the Test 'Invites > Invite users' page of the KnowledgeSmart admin dashboard.
From this page, an administrator can overwrite the default text, in the 'Email Subject Line' field and in the 'Your message' field, on a per invite basis. You have a maximum of 800 characters for your Skills assessment invite message.
The Skills assessment link, username and password will be automatically appended to the bottom of the invite email, so users can login to their session. (NB, the username and password does not display on invites sent to users who also have system administrator status).
Option two
Alternatively, you can write your own custom invites, which overwrite the default message.
To do this, go to the Test 'Invite text - test' page. From here, you can enter your custom invite text and email subject header. You have a maximum of 800 characters for your invite text.
Click 'Save' to register the changes. This custom text will now replace the default message on all Skills assessment invites sent from the account.
Use the invite templates to save multiple custom invite messages. Click on the 'Show templates' link, enter your custom invite message and email subject header, then select 'Save template'
Choose your invite from the 'Template name' dropdown, then select the 'Load template' tool to display your invite text. Save the page view to overwrite the previously selected invite.
The custom invite text appears on the main Skills assessment invites page.
You can also select custom invites from the Test Invite > Invite users page, by clicking 'Load template' and choosing the appropriate invite from the options which display.
Click the 'Revert to default text' button at any time to display the default invite message.
