Common Causes/Issues:
- You would like to find out what settings need to be applied for KnowledgeSmart notifications to be triggered.
- You are not receiving KnowledgeSmart notifications and would like to troubleshoot the reasons.
Solution Overview:
- KnowledgeSmart notifications are a quick and easy way for you to be updated on important information. There are a number of system emails that can be triggered on the KnowledgeSmart platform.
- KnowledgeSmart notifications are managed via SETTINGS > SYSTEM MAIL.
- For questions about notifications please reach out to your KnowledgeSmart Administrator.
There are different types of KnowledgeSmart notifications:
- Invites
- Invites mail
- This email goes out to a user when they are invited to a skill assessment, exam, survey or skill audit.
- Re-sent invites mail
- Invite emails can be re-sent using the tool on the Invites > History page of the KnowledgeSmart admin dashboard.
- Invites mail
- Reminders
- Reminders can be sent to users for assessment and exam invites prompted until completed as per the preferred frequency setting. An admin can be copied on reminder emails and this is set up under system mail settings.
- Alert admin on completion. This email lets an admin know when an assessment or exam prompted by a reminder has been completed.
- Alert admin if expiry date passes without completion. It is possible to assign a due date or expiry date to an assessment or exam invite. This alert lets an admin know if an invite expiry date is due or reached and the assessment or exam has not been completed.

- An email sent to a user when they complete an assessment or exam (providing that feedback settings is not set to 'No report').

- Re-sent results (tests and exams) - an email sent out with assessment and exam results. This email is triggered by going to the results > data page.

- Send email when 'No report' option is set: This option sends a results mail to the admin only (i.e. not the user who completed the assessment).

- Administrator Alerts

- New administrator notification email - when you add a new admin to your KS account, they receive a confirmation email with login details. System mail settings allow other admins to be copied on this confirmation email.

- Admin summary email - a general account activity summary email that can be sent from the home page. The active administrator will receive the activity summary email and can also specify an automated frequency for receiving this summary email.
- Notifications to individuals that are not administrators.

- Add an email recipient (that is not an administrator) to be copied on a selection of KnowledgeSmart system emails.
- Enter last name, first name and then email. Select which system emails you wish to share with this person.
