Quick Answer
To drop a Course or Learning Path assignment, select its options menu on the Assignments page and choose Drop Course or Drop Learning Path - an assessment generally cannot be dropped unless you self-enrolled in it yourself.
What This Article Helps With
This article is for end users who want to drop a Course, Learning Path, or assessment assignment from their Assignments page.
Drop a Course or Learning Path
- Open Assignments.
- Select the Currently Assigned tab.
- Locate the assignment you want to drop.
- Select the options menu (the three-dot icon) on the assignment.
- Select Drop Course (for a Course) or Drop Learning Path (for a Learning Path).
Confirm the assignment no longer appears under Currently Assigned (see "Viewing a Dropped Assignment" below to find it afterward).
Dropping an Assessment
An assessment generally cannot be dropped by the end user. The exception is an assessment you enrolled in yourself: for a self-enrolled assessment, the options menu on the Assignments page includes a Drop Assessment option. If an assessment was assigned to you by an administrator or another user rather than self-enrolled, no drop option will be available - contact your administrator, or log a support ticket, if you need the assignment removed.
Viewing a Dropped Assignment
After you drop a Course, Learning Path, or assessment, it no longer appears under Currently Assigned. To view it, select the Enrollment History tab on the Assignments page - the dropped item appears there with a Dropped status and the date it was dropped.
Helpful Tips
- The same options menu also lets you Mark as Completed, Change Due Date, Add to Bookmarks, or copy a link to the assignment, without dropping it.
