Quick Answer
Training is not automatically assigned after a completed Assessment when the user was already a Group member before the Auto-Assignment rule was created, or when no Mapped Training is configured for that Auto-Assignment; in either case, use Assign Training from the Completed assessment listing to assign the training manually.
What This Article Helps With
This article is for Pinnacle Series Administrators whose users do not receive automatically assigned training after completing an Assessment, and who need to manually assign training for an Assessment that has already been completed.
Symptoms
Training is not automatically assigned to a user after they complete an Assessment in Pinnacle Series.
Cause
Auto-assignments are created based on Group designation, and the assignment trigger occurs specifically when a user is added to that Group.
- If a user is already a member of the Group at the time the Auto-Assignment rule is created, they will not receive the auto-assigned content.
- Auto-assignment failure may also occur if there is no Mapped Training applied to the Auto-Assignment for the specific Group.
Manually Assign Training
- Navigate to the Assignment Management tab, located under Assignments.
- Expand the Assignment Date Range if necessary, to include the date the Assessment was assigned or completed.
- Locate the row containing the specific assignment to manage.
- Select the three-dot ellipsis to the right of the row.
- Select Assign Training from the dropdown list.
- In the Assign Training interface, confirm the Training Templates to be assigned. This defaults to the Default Training Templates mapped to the selected Assessment.
- Add or remove Training Templates as needed.
- Set completion due dates and training thresholds for the assignment, then save your changes.
Confirm the training now appears in the user's assignment list.
