Quick Answer
A Learning Path showing 50% complete after a user finishes a course usually means the Learning Path contains two separate SCORM packages, and the user has only completed the first one.
What This Article Helps With
This article is for Pinnacle Series users whose enrollment details show a Learning Path stuck at 50% complete, and for Administrators who want to prevent this from happening in Learning Paths they create.
Symptoms
A user completes a course, but their enrollment details show the Learning Path is only 50% complete.
Cause
This occurs when a single Learning Path contains two separate SCORM packages. The user may not realize a second package is still waiting to be completed, or may miss the completion button for each individual package.
Complete the Second SCORM Package
- After completing the first SCORM package, select Finish Course.
- Select the down arrow to reveal the second SCORM package.
- Launch the second SCORM package.
- Complete the second SCORM package.
- Select Finish Course for the second package.
Confirm the Learning Path now shows 100% complete in your enrollment details.
Preventing This for New Learning Paths (Administrators)
We recommend keeping each SCORM package in its own Learning Path to avoid this confusion.
- Edit the affected Learning Path.
- Remove the additional SCORM package from the Learning Path.
- Create a new Learning Path.
- Add the removed SCORM package to the new Learning Path.
Confirm the original Learning Path now contains only one SCORM package, and that the new Learning Path appears separately with the other package.
Helpful Tips
- Consider adding instructional text at the beginning or end of a SCORM course explaining the steps needed to complete it, or including re-enrollment instructions in the course invitation template.
