Quick Answer
The actual time saved by Personalized Learning equals the full length of the Learning Paths listed under Default Mapped minus the Projected Content Duration Minutes shown on the Assigned Assessments tab of the Assessment Assignment report.
What This Article Helps With
This article explains how to measure the training time Personalized Learning has saved after learners complete their Assessments. The Assessment Assignment report in Reporting shows how much content each learner was assigned after testing out of skills the learner already has. The calculation applies only to learners who have completed the Assessment linked to their Learning Path.
What You Might See
- Learners have completed their Assessments and you need to report the actual time Personalized Learning has saved.
- The Assigned Assessments tab shows Projected Content Duration Minutes for each learner but does not show a time saved figure.
How to Fix It
- Open Reporting.
- Open the Assessment Assignment report.
- Select Breakdown.
- Select the Assigned Assessments tab.
- Find the learner's row in the Assigned Assessments Data table.
- Note the Learning Paths listed under Default Mapped.
- Add up the full length of those Learning Paths in minutes. For Revit 2027 Learning Paths, see Revit 2027: Estimated Duration per Learning Path
- Note the learner's Projected Content Duration Minutes.
- Subtract the Projected Content Duration Minutes from the full Learning Path length to get the learner's time saved in minutes.
- Repeat steps 5 to 9 for each learner.
- Add the results together.
- Divide the total by 60 to get your organisation's total time saved in hours.
- Confirm that each learner's result is zero or greater and that the total is lower than the combined full Learning Path length for all learners.
Full length of Default Mapped Learning Paths − Projected Content Duration Minutes = Time saved
For example, Revit Project Setup for Architectural is 6.9 hours (414 minutes). A learner with Projected Content Duration Minutes of 207 has saved 207 minutes, about 3.5 hours.
Helpful Tips
- Revit 2027 Learning Path lengths are based on video run time. Reading and knowledge checks add time, so actual savings may be slightly higher than the calculated figure.
- If you use custom Learning Paths, confirm with your Customer Success Manager which content is linked to an Assessment before calculating savings.
