Common Causes/Issues:
You want to learn the process to enroll individual users, or a group of users, into a Pinnacle Series Learning Path, or course, set due dates, and manage reminders to keep enrollees on task.
You need necessary user permissions to enroll users into Learning Paths and courses inside the Pinnacle Series platform.
Solution Overview:
In Pinnacle Series you'll find an extensive library of learning assets that will allow you to enhance or refine your users' skills.
Assigning course enrollments to others allows you to specify a due date and issue notifications
to enrollees and the Assignor. If someone is falling behind in their learning, you could nudge them with an email reminder.
To enroll users into Learning Paths and/or courses, you'll need to use the 'Assignment Management' area of the Administration Portal.
Tactical rundown of solution:
Select the green 'Assign New' button in the top right of the Assignment Management page. Then select 'Content' from the dropdown menu.
Within the assignment pop-up, you have a couple options to find the content you are looking to assign. On the left-hand side, you will find filters that allow you to narrow down your search by the Publisher (Native or Custom Content) Libraries, or even Keywords.
Additionally, you have a search bar feature in the top left to find specific content if you know the titles. Note: Libraries and Topics filters are useful to ensure you select the correct year version.
Queue up the Learning Paths and/or courses that you want assigned from the public content or from your organization's custom content.
Select a Learning Path to assign all of its courses or you can hover over a Learning Path, select the three dots in the bottom right of the image, and choose 'Select Courses in Learning Path' to narrow down your assignment to hyper-specific content within that Learning Path.
If there are courses from another Learning Path that you want to assign, append them to the list.
Once you have all your Learning Paths and or courses selected, click 'Next'.
To add users to this assignment, select 'Add New', as shown below.
Search for users and select them by checking the square box to the left of the display name. Multiple users can be selected individually or you can select all users within the current list by selecting the check box next to 'User Name' in the top left.
To filter to a group, select the Filter command, then filter by the desired group of users. Domain, Group and User Type are the available filters.
Once the group members are displayed, use the select all box mentioned before to select all users belonging to that group.
Once you have made your selection click 'Add Users' to lock in your choices.
All the users selected will appear in the preview list.
To remove users from this list, select the trashcan icon to the right of their name.
Down below the users, you will see an Options bar, which you have to select the Drop-Down Arrow to open
Toggle the 'Exclude users who have previously completed this content' if you wish to avoid assigning this content to users who have already completed this content in the past.
Toggle the 'Set a due date for this assignment' option to configure a due date for the assignment(s). Platform notifications can be used to help users stay updated with deadlines.
Toggle on 'Send selected users an email for this assignment' to send out an email notification to
all enrollees assigned to the course.
The last option is the ability to add and remove Assignors for your assignment. The assignor is displaying on the Assignment Management page and can be useful for filtering current and completed enrollments.
Click 'Assign' in the top right to complete the enrollment.
