Universal Documents Upload Errors and File Size Limitations

You are receiving the following error when uploading universal documents; "This file is too large to be viewed in Pinnacle Series and will not be uploaded".

Please break up the documents into smaller files.
The Microsoft Web Viewer has a number of file size limits to be aware of.
PDF files must be less than 25 megabytes. Use a free application called https://www.ilovepdf.com/ to compress or split large PDF files.
Word documents and PowerPoint presentations must be less than 10 megabytes. Larger files may take a long time to load in the system so rather break larger content items into small items.

Consider the following tips for limiting the file size of your Word documents:
- Compress pictures.
- Insert pictures instead of copying and pasting.
- Use smaller image files.
- Apply styles instead of manual formatting.
- Save a copy of large Word files.
- Change Auto-recover settings.
- Avoid or convert embedded objects.
- Avoid embedded fonts.
- Save a copy of the document in PDF format.
- Save a copy of the document in RTF format.

Consider the following tips for limiting the file size of your PowerPoints:

- Compress pictures.
- Insert pictures instead of copying and pasting.
- Use smaller image files.
- Convert images to a different file type.
- Save a copy of images with artistic effects.
- Compress audio and video.
- Link to audio or video files.
- Convert Excel charts and other embedded objects.
- Save a copy of large PowerPoint files.
- Save a copy in PDF format.
Excel spreadsheets must be less than 10 megabytes. Tips for reducing the file size of an Excel spreadsheet:
- Reducing the file size helps to improve Excel’s running speed and simplifies the process of sharing the file with others.
