- Why anonymization happens, what changes after 90 days, and how to preserve reporting history.
Solution Overview:
Understanding Data Anonymization
To align with GDPR Article 32, Pinnacle Series implements automatic anonymization of user data.
This removes Personally Identifiable Information (PII) when it is no longer needed, while preserving platform history for operational and reporting continuity.
How does anonymization work?
Triggers
- When a user is deleted from the system.
- When a tenant subscription expires.
What changes after 90 days
- The user’s Display Name is replaced with a unique ID (example: ZZuser_45698-456-45645).
- The user’s Email Address is anonymized (example: 45698-456-45645@existingdomain.com).
These changes occur 90 days after deletion and will display consistently across Pinnacle Series, including reports.
Data retention and deletion
Once anonymized, data remains in the system for 365 days. After this period, the data is permanently deleted.
Admin tip: If you need historical user data for longer than 90 days, export relevant reports before anonymization occurs.
What this means for you
- PII is anonymized 90 days after deletion.
- Reports reflect anonymized identifiers to preserve privacy and compliance.
- Data recovery may be possible within the 365-day retention window by contacting Customer Support.
How can you prepare?
- Export data regularly if you need long-term historical reporting.
