Spark FAQ for Admins & Managers
Controls, configuration, and guidance for rolling out Spark.
How do I enable or disable Spark?
Spark is part of the Peak Experience and brings you AI-powered nano learning - short, 3–5 minute videos tailored to your personal interests, your team’s focus areas, or our default hero software tools. It works alongside your structured training, giving you timely nudges that reinforce key concepts, keep skills sharp, and surface fresh ideas right when you need them.
How can managers influence recommendations?
- Set Group Interests to steer topics/tools.
- Share the right libraries with the group — Sparks are generated from shared libraries.
- Engage users via in-app notifications or email (Teams integration coming soon).
- Upload internal nano clips (≤5 minutes) to surface company tips alongside subscription content.
How will Spark appear in reporting?
- Tracks video starts and completions separately from assignments.
- Completed items are hidden for 90 days before becoming eligible again.
- Admins will be able to include or exclude Spark engagement in consolidated exports.
What happens when a group loses Spark access?
- Users interacting with Spark see a popup stating access has been removed.
- Closing the dialog refreshes the page; Spark items disappear and direct URLs show Access Denied.
- Recommendation feeds stop immediately for those users.
Admin best practices
- Start focused: launch with a few priority topics per group.
- Coach users: encourage precise “Just For You” entries (product + version + difficulty).
- Nudge cadence: align message frequency and tone with company comms policy.
- Review quarterly: rotate Group Interests as projects evolve; audit library sharing.
How do I set the frequency of Spark notifications?
- Notification cadence is managed per Group. Users in that group inherit the schedule and channels you choose.
- Go to Administration Portal > Groups > (select a group) > Group Details.
- Ensure the Features > SPARK toggle is ON (right panel).
- Scroll to SPARK Notifications (pink panel).
- Select delivery channels:
- In-App Notification
- Email Notification (optional)
- Open the Frequency dropdown and choose:
- Daily
- Weekly
- Monthly
- (Optional) Click Modify Welcome Email and/or Modify Notification Email to tailor subject, body, and tone for the group.
- Click Save. Changes take effect for all current members of the group.
- Notes:
- Cadence is per group; use different groups if you need different schedules for different audiences.
- Email templates send in the language shown in the editor and are not auto-translated.
- Users can receive both in-app and email if you enable both channels.
How do I Configure Group Interests?
- Admin Portal > Settings > Users > User Interests > Add Interest.
- Click the checkbox next to each interest that you wish to associate with the current group. Confirm your selection by clicking the 'Add' button. New group interests will show with a bright blue background within the 'Interests' area.
