Tactical Rundown:
This can be fixed with a registry edit, by following these steps:
- Close all web browsers.
- Open the registry editor. (Search for "regedit" in the Windows Search bar).
- Navigate to the following location: Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\ProtocolExecute.
- Right-click on ProtocolExecute and choose New>Key.
5. Rename the new key "nd", as shown.
6. With the "nd" key highlighted, in the white space, right click and choose "New>DWORD..".
- Edit the New Value to be called "WarnOnOpen" and right click and set the value to "0".
- After this is complete, reboot the computer to have the change take place.
