Pinnacle Series utilizes the Microsoft Azure Search algorithm, and prioritizes search results based on the following weighted components:
- Name/Title:
- The most important value in helping your users find the content they are looking for is the name or title of the content. Title your content with clear and concise verbiage; this ensures that users can easily find results based on their targeted search. Try keeping your title short, as fewer words are weighted more heavily within the search results.
Tip: If a user is searching "Structure," a simplified title will yield more accurate search results for your content (e.g. "Create a base structure" instead of "This is how to create a base structure when..."). A Wildcard or asterisk (*) can also be incorporated at the end of your search term to return variable results for your root word. Searching "Desc*" will return content values which contain "Desc" as the root word (e.g. "Description," "Descriptive," "Descending," etc.).
- Description/Body:
- Search results also return terms or topics that are present within the description or body of content. Documents, for example, that contain a search term frequently within the body of the Document will be prioritized closer to the top of the search results.

- Folder Organization:
- The structure of your Folders within Pinnacle Series also plays a key role in how search results are displayed. Keeping your content in a properly labeled Folder will help retrieve accurate results for your users.
Tip: Try keeping your content in a folder of the same name (e.g. Content related to "Buildings" should reside in a Folder or Folder Structure of the same name).
- Keywords:
- Content such as Videos will have a dedicated section for you to input keywords; this allows you to specify products, categories or key points which will be targeted within the user's search results.
- Content managers are advised to not skip over adding keywords and product tags when importing custom library content as they can help users connect with the right learning content.
