The following list details some common terms that you may see or hear when using the Pinnacle Series.
Asset | A piece of content housed in Pinnacle Series relating to an Asset Library and Asset Type. |
Asset Library | A collection of assets tied to a specific topic or product. |
Asset Type | Used to describe the delivery format of an asset such as Workflows, Documents, Videos, and Learning Paths. |
Auto-Transcribe | Creates a transcript for a video that you upload into Pinnacle Cloud Storage. |
Document | An asset type that offers information in short, searchable segments, typically it’s a tip or a trick, troubleshooting guide or frequently asked question. |
Frequently Used Assets | Items that are most commonly used by a specific user. |
Learning Centre | Area where courses and enrollment history can be viewed and accessed. |
Management Utility | Refers to the application used to control the administration functions in Pinnacle Series. |
My Documents | A personal document that you can create in Pinnacle Series to capture a note, tip or trick, or solution that you want to recall later. |
Notifications | Notifies users when changes affecting their experience have happened. |
Pinnacle Series Admin, Admin or Pilot Admin |
The term used for the Platform Administrator for Pinnacles Series. This role has access to all Pinnacle settings including user access and permissions, content customization, and reporting. These privileges require the installation of the Pinnacle Series Management Utility. |
Publisher |
The organization or person that created and sourced those content assets.

Describes a member of a work group that has full functionality to add, edit and/or remove members and assets within that work group.
