Common Causes/Issues:
- You would like to find out what settings need to be applied for Pinnacle Series notifications to be triggered.
- You are not receiving Pinnacle Series notifications and would like to troubleshoot the reasons.
Solution Overview:
Pinnacle Series notifications are a quick and easy way for you to be updated on important information. Notifications must be toggled on by your Pinnacle Series administrator. For questions about notifications please reach out to your Pinnacle Series administrator.
- If a user receiving a notification is already logged in to an active Pinnacle Series session, an email notification will not be sent out but will appear under the notifications area.
- If a user is not logged in to an active Pinnacle Series session, then both email and in-platform notifications will be triggered at a scheduled interval (approximately 10-15 minutes).
- Learning Path reminders are sent at 14 days, then 7 days, prior to the due date with past due learning reminders being sent out within 24 hours after the due date.
There are different types of Pinnacle Series notifications:
- Learning Path Notifications:
- You are assigned a new course or learning path.
- A course or learning path that you are enrolled in is coming due.
- A course or learning path you are enrolled in or that you assigned to another user is past due.
- If you dropped a course or learning path after enrollment.

- Work Group Notifications:
- You are added or removed from a workgroup.
- A workgroup you are part of is archived.
- Content within a workgroup you are part of is added, removed, or changed.
- New comments are added to the discussion area of a workgroup.
- Offline content notification:
- Offline content downloaded onto your system has expired.
- Reminders regarding the content that you have previously downloaded to the Pinnacle Series offline viewer.
- Auto-Transcription Notification:
- A transcript that you have auto-transcribed has completed.
- A transcript that you have auto-transcribed has completed.
- Users
- If you are a user you may want to check under your user profile if your notification setting is toggled on.

- Workgroups
- If your query is related to notifications related to a Pinnacle Series workgroup, the workgroup owner needs to check the settings of the workgroup.
- If your query is related to notifications related to a Pinnacle Series workgroup, the workgroup owner needs to check the settings of the workgroup.

- These notifications are triggered by the' email settings button when you enroll users in learning via the Management Utility > Learning/Assessment Assignments. you enroll users in learning via the Management Utility > Learning/Assessment Assignments.

- Having email notifications toggled on within your user profile is a pre-cursor to this trigger.
- This notification is triggered by the 'email settings' button when you enroll users in learning via the Management Utility > Learning/Assessment Assignments.

- If the option 'when a course is completely viewed' is toggled on, a notification will be triggered to the assignor.

- If you are the assignor of learning, you will also be sent the following system admin email notification (delivered from pinnacleadmin@eaglepoint.com) stating the date the course was completed and listing any due dates that might be applicable. This one is triggered when the user completes the assigned learning and hits the complete course button, and has the option - When a course is completely viewed (2 above) toggled on.
